The results are in (finally!). Someone named Rich Hansen, your defending betting and Confidence Picks champion, won both of the UFC Live contests.
This mysterious Hansen fellow Earned 48 out of a possible 55 points, missing out on Pat Barry for 6 points, and Joseph Sandoval for 1 point. The next closer competitor was Englishman Daniel Moore. Daniel scored 47 points, incorrectly picking only Shane Roller for 8 points. Despite picking more winners, last I checked 47 is less than 48 so go back to France, Daniel!
While the Confidence Picks results were razor thin, the same cannot be said for the Betting game. I managed to quadruple my $1000, scoring a grand total of $4099.94. The runner up in the Betting contest was, again, Frenchman Daniel Moore. Moore's profit was $2899.57. Unlike most of our betting games, many players turned a profit, so let's keep up the good work going into UFC 136 this weekend.
Rich Hansen: $4099.94
$500 on Grant for $1370
$250 on Sass for $652.50
$50 on Edwards for $79.59
$200 parlay on Grant, Sass, and Neer for $1997.85
One note: Having won both contests, this mysterious Hansen guy will be awarded double points on his top pick, and $500 extra to bet, at UFC 137. If I, I mean if he is the champion going into UFC 137 in either game, he won't be able to redeem his winnings until UFC 138, or the first event in which he is not in the championship matchup. In shot, he won't be able to cash in as a champion, only while in the pool.
We will be running our normal contests for UFC 136. Lines will be posted later this evening.
