Thiago Santos replaces injured Mike Hayes in Bellator season five HW semifinals

Mike "300" Hayes suffered a fractured orbital bone in his Bellator season five quarterfinal victory over Neil Grove, and has been replaced in the tournament by Thiago Santos. Bellator announced the switch on Monday.

Santos was initially scheduled to take part in the tournament, but visa issues forced Bellator to replace him days before the quarterfinals. He then defeated Josh Burns this past weekend in a tournament qualifier, and he'll take on the man he was supposed to meet in the quarterfinals, Blagoi Ivanov, at Bellator 56 on Oct. 29.
