Chris Lytle and Dan Hardy aren't fighting for a title shot anytime soon. It's pretty rare to see two fighters coming losses main eventing a card. That's nothing against either fighter. Their fighting style are mirror images and it's not the smartest way to get wins, but it gets you more fights. And high profile fights. Yet you're not hearing anyone complain because Lytle-Hardy at UFC on Versus 5 should produce rock'em, sock'em robots.
The fight is such a toss-up for oddmakers and bettors have it a pick'em. The lead-in should be tremendous as well with Ben Henderson and Jim Miller clashing at lightweight. Miller has a title shot on the line. A Henderson upset puts him right in the conversation.
Both are great candidates for Fight of the Night and maybe even Knockout of the Night awards. But they're not locks. This is a deep card featuring mostly smaller weights.
Larry Pepe from ProMMARadio.com and Damon Martin from MMAWeekly.com joined me this morning to gives us their picks using the Las Vegas betting odds.
