According to a report from Brett Okamoto at ESPN.com, UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta confirmed that UFC 140 will mark the UFC's second event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 2011.
The UFC's biggest event ever from a live gate and attendance standpoint took place in the city in April, when UFC 129 brought 55,000 fans to the Rogers Centre, bringing a gate of nearly $12 million.
However, the UFC won't be attempting to duplicate the success of their first ever stadium event, as this card will take place from the Air Canada Centre, which will be configured for an attendance of around 20,000.
No fights have yet been determined for the event, but it will be the third event the UFC has run in Canada this year.

Penick's Analysis: Canada has proven to be a massive market for the UFC, and the fans in Toronto especially have brought the organization a lot of money through pay-per-view sales and April's event. Though UFC 129 had a lot of travelers making up that 55,000 attendance, much of it was local UFC fans heading out to the Rogers Centre. This is going to be another big event for the UFC in Canada, and it should make for another hot crowd for the UFC.
UPDATE: The UFC has now officially made an announcement of the event, confirming this report with the date, city and venue. Still no word on any fights yet coming to the card, but it's speculated that Toronto natives Sean Pierson and Mark Hominick will take part in the event.
